Part-time Classroom Facilitator

SAFE is seeking a part-time Classroom Facilitator to teach classes for teens impacted by substance use as an alternative to traditional 10-day school suspension. Each session is 3 days and enrolls up to 5 students (grades 9–12). This role is based at our Franklin, MA office.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Sociology/Psychology

    • OR 3 years within the social services field

  • Experience working with youth

  • Background in leadership roles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Valid driver’s license and available, dependable transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance use education using a set curriculum focused on restorative justice, substance use, and healthy decision-making. 

  • Create a safe, trusting, and therapeutic classroom environment.


The Classroom facilitator should feel confident working with teens and discussing topics such as community issues, substance misuse, mental health, and environmental risks.

  • Schedule: 20 hours/week, Tuesday–Thursday

  • Pay: $36/hour
