Do you ever feel like you’re doing this alone? Caring for a child with an IEP, a 504 plan, a learning difference, or a health-related diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating. You don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
This group is a welcoming space to connect with other caregivers who understand. Together, we:
Share experiences with parents and caregivers facing similar challenges
Learn strategies for working through hard moments with your child
Build confidence speaking up for your child at school, at the doctor, and in the community
Find resources that fit your child’s needs
The group is ongoing, so you can join at any time. Parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers are all welcome, whether you’re new to IEPs and 504 plans or have been at it for years.
Your Facilitator: Karen Bean (LCSW) has spent her career supporting children and families, including 11 years as a foster parent, work as a Family Liaison with MSPCC, and co-facilitating foster parent licensing training. She holds a master's in social work and has provided in-home therapy and behavioral health services to individuals and families. She brings warmth, lived experience, and deep expertise to every group she facilitates.
