Harm Reduction Clinician

Stephanie earned a BS in Communicative Disorders from the University of Rhode Island and spent five years in direct care with adolescents in inpatient and residential settings. That work sparked her love of the mental health field, and she went on to earn an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. There she supported adults in eating disorder treatment and queer youth at a drop-in center, where she met some of the most resilient people she has ever known.

Returning to the RI/MA area, Stephanie set out to fill a gap in care she had noticed for years: harm reduction. For the past five years she has counseled people who use substances in the Metrowest area through a harm reduction lens, loving it more every day. She believes in recognizing every person in our communities as a neighbor, and her goal is to improve quality of life through accessible, safe resources. She and her two teammates are excited to join SAFE Coalition and continue this work in Framingham and the surrounding Metrowest communities. If you see them out on outreach, come say hello!

Outside of work, Stephanie is the proud mother of two cats, Demi and Roo, whose favorite activities include hide and seek, kitchen dance parties, and bedtime stories.
