About the event
The 12 Steps are commonly used in support programs for family members and loved ones of those impacted by substance misuse and/or mental health challenges (Alanon, Families Anonymous). These 12 steps provide a guide for healing from patterns of behavior, or codependency, which are common to family members and loved ones alike. Codependency often leads to feelings of fear, anxiety, anger, and isolation. Left untreated, these emotions can cause major disruptions both to individual family members as well as the family dynamic as a whole.
