Save a Life. Carry Narcan.
Narcan is a nasal spray used to revive someone experiencing an overdose from opioid pain medications like oxycodone and fentanyl, as well as street drugs like heroin. Taking a high dose or combining opioids with other substances can lead to an overdose, which can be life-threatening.
Join an upcoming 20-minute SAFE Narcan training to learn how to administer this life-saving medication. The training is open to the public, and no registration is required.
Attendees will:
Learn how to recognize an overdose
Practice administering Narcan
Develop confidence in responding to an overdose
Leave with two 4 mg doses of Narcan

SAFE has a committed and multilingual staff with expertise in mental health, benefits development, sustained housing planning, and extensive experience with local and state systems of support. We are trained and certified in trauma-informed approaches and are a local leader in collaborative care.
At SAFE, we are proud to have worked within judicial, housing, and state mental health programs, which increase opportunities for well-rounded care for Franklin residents. We know that when we partner and collaborate with other systems of care, those we support are afforded the greatest opportunity for success.
Often, those seeking housing either lack stable support or are in a financial position that could force them to vacate their property in the near future. With ARPA funding, we are excited to implement a variety of approaches. This funding allows for one-on-one housing planning with our case manager, helping clients complete local, state, and federal paperwork associated with short- and long-term housing needs. It also provides for emergency placement when needed and access to information about available housing support and how to utilize it.

Families Anonymous celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021. It was formed in 1971 by a group of concerned parents in California seeking ways to deal with the problem of substance abuse and addiction in their children. Our members include parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, significant others, other family members, and friends of those with a current, suspected, or former drug problem. We have been one of the best-kept secrets in the recovery community, even though we have groups throughout the world.
Families Anonymous is a 12-Step fellowship for families and friends who have known the feeling of desperation caused by the destructive behavior of someone very near to them, whether due to drugs, alcohol, or related behavioral problems. When you come into our rooms, you are no longer alone but among friends who have experienced similar challenges. Any concerned person is encouraged to attend our meetings, even if there is only a suspicion of a problem.
Your identity is protected in our meetings. We know each other by our first names only. Anonymity is paramount to the success of our program. Not only is anonymity an underlying principle of the program, but it is so important that it is part of our name.
