SAFE’s Back to Life: Youth Theater Project culminates on May 14 with a free public performance. For the past two months, local teens rehearsed an original play that opens an honest conversation about the dangers lurking in recreational drug use today, particularly fentanyl and xylazine contamination.

In partnership with Drug Story Theater, this program equips teens with theater skills, life-saving overdose prevention knowledge, and a real community leadership role, turning the stage into a platform for honest, stigma-breaking conversations about addiction.

Performance will be followed by a talkback session with Dr. Joseph Shrand, an expert in adolescent addiction.

Registration required.

This program is supported by Mass Cultural Council, Lawson Charitable Foundation, and Community Health Systems Foundation.
